As part of our continued commitment to a more secure, reliable and internationally accessible platform, SparkGlim will undergo a scheduled system upgrade.

Start: Thursday, 8 October 2026, 10:00 PM GMT.
End: Friday, 9 October 2026, 6:00 AM GMT.
Expected duration: 8 hours.

What the upgrade covers

1. Expanded payment integrations: strengthening our infrastructure for broader local and international transactions.
2. International security expansion: improved protection for customers and organizers in Nigeria, South Africa and Malawi.
3. New payment methods: expanding support for cryptocurrency, stablecoins, Apple Pay and other supported payment channels. These capabilities are part of the upgrade and expansion; they are not being announced as fully available until confirmed live.
4. Platform reliability: improvements to payment routing, transaction processing, system stability and checkout.

Possible service disruptions

During maintenance, services may experience temporary interruptions:

• Delayed payment processing or confirmation.
• Unexpected payment cancellations or failed transactions.
• Temporary checkout interruptions.
• Delays in transaction updates and other payment-related activity.
